The exposed bra trend is Hollywood and Bollywood approved

The red carpet soirees often throw light on the season's most popular fashion trends. The current celebrity obsession in the fashion world seemingly is that of the exposed bra trend and we didn't even see this one coming. Perhaps if Superman can wear his underpants superimposed on his tights, Victoria's Secret doesn't have to remain a secret anymore. The recently held Cannes red carpet gave us the first glimpse of the trend when Scarlett Johansson arrived in a pink Prada number with a white bra and matching white straps built into the bodice.

The iconic exposed bras of the early 2000s have made a comeback as we continue to introduce styles from the Y2K era. Sydney Sweeney was the next in line when she stepped out in the city of Cannes dressed in a silky white slip dress with a powder blue satin Miu Miu bra peeking through.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely embraced the exposed bra trend in a white-slit gown with a sparkly bra insert in Fendi Couture reigning from its latest collection.

Back home, this trend seems to have slowly picked pace too and Nora Fatehi deserves credit for it. Nora Fatehi was recently seen at the IIFA Awards 2023 in Abu Dhabi dressed in a red leather gown with a ruched gathering and an exposed net bralette with a slinky red strap.

You could love it or hate it but if this trend ought to make a return in a large way, we better be prepared for it.
