At just 26, Zendaya is a phenomenal force of star power. From award-winning films to designer campaigns, there's almost nothing she hasn't achieved so far on her path as a young Hollywood star. The latest one is for Louis Vuitton's Capucine campaign. Shot against the stunning blues of the Cote d'Azure, Zendaya is seen in classic black and white while posing with the new LV Capucine handbag. While the designer accessory is seen in black and white, it is also showcased in pastel blue for the new season. Zendaya wears her hair sleek and straight, while the sun bathes her from atop and leaves her bronzed and glistening.

It's safe to say that Zendaya is a gorgeous girl. So it's a surprise as to why Louis Vuitton felt the need to edit her facial features to the extent that she looked practically unrecognizable in the images. In the retouched pictures, while her angular face appears flatter, her lips, eyes and nose all seem to look broader as well. On the official photos posted on Louis Vuitton's Instagram channel, Zendaya's fans are irate. Comments include "WHY DID YOU PHOTOSHOP HER FACE ? this doesn't look like herrrrr", "Why are you over editing an already perfect women?" and the very direct "someone take facetune away from the LV editors because what have they done to Z's face???".
While retouching photos is a common practice in the media today, there's a fine line between enhancing a subject natural features and extreme editing that leaves them unrecognizable. Sadly, Louis Vuitton's latest campaign photos of Zendaya fell in the latter category. It's a shame really that the issue of her retouching has gone viral, taking all the focus away from the designer bag in her hands.
