From Dia Mirza To Karishma Tanna, The Stunning Black Saree Is A Celebrity Favourite This Festive Season

Gone are the times when black was considered a bad omen for festive occasions like weddings. Now the timeless classic colour can be worn at every other occasion, from sangeet nights to festive functions. Black sarees are surely the new prized possessions in our ethnic wardrobe, making it a definite must-buy. It's not just our opinion because the Bollywood celebrities are also fascinated by the colour. Mouni Roy in a black and gold saree, Janhvi Kapoor in a lovely lace saree, Dia Mirza in a black sheer saree, and many others have shown us how to rock the black saree effortlessly in time for the festive season.

Bold and beautiful in black

Dia Mirza looked absolutely radiant in a black sheer saree. The drape had zari borders in gold and fuchsia pink while she teamed the saree with a sleeveless floral blouse with pink and gold flowers all over it. Dia's minimal jewellery and dewy makeup perfectly went well with her subtle look.

Karishma Tanna was recently seen in a glamorous lace saree. The all-black sheer saree had sequin work and an exquisite grace to it as she teamed it with a strappy blouse. Her accessories included statement earrings and a potli bag.

Mouni Roy's classic black and gold drape from Masaba Gupta's collection for the movie promotions of Brahmastra was chic, sassy and stylish. She paired the look with a sleeveless blouse which featured a scoop neckline and accessorised the look with gold jewellery

Janhvi Kapoor's lace saree was so dreamy that it made a lasting impression on our minds. The stunning sheer saree had lace work detailing and was from ace designer Manish Malhotra's label. Janhvi paired the drape with a backless strappy blouse which was equally chic and stylish.

Amrita Puri also chose a gorgeous pre-draped saree in black. The shimmery drape was the right blend of sassy and chic. It had sparkly sequined details throughout. Amrita wore a strappy blouse with the drape which had a plunging neckline. She wore a statement choker necklace and opted for dewy makeup with glammed-up eyes and glossy lips.
