On Sunday night, the biggest names in the music industry gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the 64th annual Grammy Awards. And, a show without a red carpet is something we cannot imagine. Unlike the Oscars, the Grammy Awards have a history of eschewing traditional splendour in favour of more daring and risky dress choices. Do you remember Jennifer Lopez's legendary plunging Versace gown from 2000? Or Rihanna's voluminous, ruffled, pink Giambattista Valli gown in 2015? And, how can we not mention Lady Gaga's out of the box appearances? Year after year, we have been blown away by the costumes that have graced the Grammys red carpet. Here's a look at some of the most memorable outfits this year.

Lady Gaga

It's impossible that Lady Gaga turns up at an event and her style statement goes unnoticed. Her classy ensemble may be deceptively simple but it's a statement worth all our attention. The music sensation was seen in a one-shoulder black streamlined gown with a full train made with white fabric. A statement Tiffany & Co necklace completed the look. She styled her blonde cropped up hair with a wavy tuft in the front.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa surely left us levitating with her style statement. The singer not only bagged an award but also attended the show as a presenter. Her fierce black gown could make anyone swoon. The cut-out corset style bust and elaborate display of golden belts and buckles left us in awe. Dark red lips and sleek blonde tresses perfectly matched her style.

Kelsea Ballerini

The country pop singer wore a black strapless evening gown that had a bodycon fit with a bold slit at the side. Her dress also featured a huge white ribbon at the waist.

Elle King

Grammys fashion wasn't only about evening gowns. Elle King showed up in a hot red jacket and trousers. Her oversized hat perfectly matched the outfit.

St Vincent

This music sensation stole the limelight in a ruffled and sequined pink number. Her dress featured cape sleeves and a train. At the hemline were pink ruffles. One couldn't really miss noticing this ensemble.

Billie Eilish

The young star wore an all-black piece. She went for an oversized shirt that had an asymmetrical hemline. She styled it in an off-shoulder manner over a skirt of the same tone-on-tone pattern. She also styled her black hair in a classy side-parted way.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat wore a light pink revealing gown. It featured a plunging neckline and a bodysuit structure. It extended into a see-through skirt and train with a side slit.

Well, those were our picks from the Grammy night. The awards have become synonymous with high-voltage fashion, and there is a lot of anticipation because of the celebrities' unpredictability on the red carpet.
