We are coming to a grand closure of the year 2024 and what a year has it been for celebrities and their ventures. But one aspect that has been very close to our hearts and taste buds are all the new restaurant launches by our favourite celebrities through the calendar months. In Mumbai especially, celebrity offerings in the restaurant world have been by the likes of Malaika Arora's Scarlett House, Gauri Khan's Torii and many more.
Get inspired by the gourmet journey some of the celebrities have been on this year with a list of five celebrities and their restaurants that opened in 2024.
1. Scarlett House By Malaika Arora and Arhaan Khan
Malaika Arora and her son Arhaan Khan along with restauranter Dhaval Udeshi opened doors to Scarlett House, a new café in Mumbai's Pali Village area in November 2024. Located in a refurbished 90-year old Portuguese bungalow, it offers a range of delicacies including a section called "Malla's delicacies" that features her popular baked fish.
2. Torii By Gauri Khan
Gauri Khan's ventured into the hospitality business with Torii located in Mumbai's Khar West area in February 2024. The restaurant has been done up in rich reds, vibrant lighting, green and gold accent by Gauri herself, The food and beverage offerings are Pan Asian including sushi, dumplings, ramen, signature cocktails and the Torii-special churros for something sweet.
3. Chic Loca By Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone teamed up with restauranter Sahil Baweja to open up Chic Loca in Noida that offers world cuisine with craft cocktails in January 2024. The coconut margarita, black cheese momos, spring rolls, and bhatti ka paneer are some of the menu highlights of this reservation-only restaurant.
4. Aaarambam By Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul Preet Singh started off her millet restaurant chain Aarambam in April 2024 with branches across Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune that served South Indian food amidst a casual dining setup serving food on banana leaves. The ragi dosa and junnu are a must try at this eatery.
5. Casa Salesas By Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta kick started her restaurant venture Casa Salesas in Madrid, Spain in May 2024. It is a restaurant and cocktail bar which offers local Spanish brunches, healthy food offerings, choicest wine and coffee. The alcachofas and tarta de queso and pollo are some of the menu's taste bud tingling recipes.
From Gauri Khan's Torii to Malaika's Scarlett House got us drooling over the delish delicacies served up on a platter.
