As a successful interior designer and better half to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, it's natural that Gauri Khan is a connoisseur of the finer things in life. Namely, living well and travelling luxuriously. So it comes as no surprise to know that Airbnb bought Gauri onboard to curate a list of homestays in sunny Goa for their guide, Airbnb Goa. For those who might have forgotten - one of Gauri Khan's earliest designing projects was a resort in Goa. So it's safe to say she and this favourite beach destination have a deeper connection.

With her keen eye for architecture and design, Gauri Khan has endorsed several Airbnb properties in Goa and spoken about European influences that find their way to the sunny state through the Portuguese in the preface of the guidebook. She then goes on to emphasize that there's a lot of beauty beyond the stereotypical Goan sun and sand that travelers are used to.

One of the homestays curated by Gauri Khan is Villa Solitude situated in North Goa. True to its name, Villa Solitude brings together the state's quiet calm without being too from the beach and night market. Another recommendation by Gauri is Summertime, a stunning villa situated on a hilltop in Calangute.
