India has celebrated National Handloom Day on August 7 since 2015 to honour the weaving community of the country. With our rich Indian heritage, our wardrobes are blessed with graceful handloom pieces from North, South and every corner of the country. Kanjeevaram, Paithani, Banarasi are only a few of the many varieties of sarees that you will find in India that represent its vibrant culture and craftswork. On the occasion of Handloom Day 2022, let us have a look at how Bollywood divas like Dia Mirza, Kangana Ranaut, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Kajal Aggarwal have worn stunning handloom sarees to give us fashion inspiration.

Bollywood divas ace ethnic looks in gorgeous handloom sarees!

Dia Mirza's saree collection is simply splendid. She makes the most elegant choices each time with a variety of handloom sarees. She recently chose a tusser silk saree in ivory from Shanti Banaras. The hand embroidered Pichwai saree was gorgeous. The actor teamed the classic drape with a sleeveless blouse and completed the look with a choker necklace and earrings.

Not too long ago Rakul Preet Singh opted for a stunning silk drape in mint green from the clothing brand Ahikoza and swooned her fans. The beautiful drape had golden zari border and golden work throughout. The actor paired the saree with a strappy blouse in dark green colour, with gold motifs and zari border. Rakul tied her hair in a messy bun and opted for dewy makeup with glossy lip tint and adorned the look with traditional chaandbali earrings.

Shraddha Kapoor's 'Marathi mulgi' look on Gudi Padwa was simply phenomenal. The actor was decked up in a vibrant yellow and blue Paithani saree draped in a Maharashtrian style. Shraddha adorned the saree with gold jewellery including layered necklaces, jhumkas, rings, bangles and a traditional nath. For makeup, she opted for contoured cheeks, glossy lips and kohled eyes.

Yami Gautam too, looked exceptional as she wore a stunning saree in in a fuchsia pink Banarasi saree and teamed it with an olive green blouse in contrast with the drape. The saree had golden motifs all-over while the blouse featured full-sleeves. The actor paired the look with a studded necklace and traditional earrings.

Kangana Ranaut opted for a tangerine Kanjeevaram saree with red borders and looked elegant. The actor paired the saree with a high-necked blouse of the same colour palette and pattern. She tied her hair back neatly in a bun and adorned it with flowers. Kangana wore minimal makeup while accessorising her look with a choker necklace and matching earrings

Kajal Aggarwal wore a stunning red Banarasi saree and flattered her fans. The blood red saree had silver thread patterns weaved over the pallu as she wore it in a pleated manner. Teaming the saree with a sleeveless blouse, Kajal had a natural pregnancy glow. Kajal chose a golden neck choker, dangling earrings and golden bracelets as the accessories. She wore dewy makeup with pink glossy lips, defined eyebrows and well-contoured cheeks.
