The festival of colours is here and the merriment is in full swing. Holi is that time of the year when painting the town in every shade becomes a staple. We wear white to get drenched in multiple hues. From vibrant blues to bright reds, hot pinks, and warm yellows — there are colours flying everywhere we lay our eyes. Much like us, our favourite Bollywood celebrities are big fans of Holi but also love wearing white. How do we know? Well, B-town stars Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh recently spilled the beans on their Holi plans exclusively to NDTV's Abira Dhar.
Dressed in strapless Rahul Mishra's LBD, Ananya Panday's Holi outlook was quite a contrast to the designer's number. The actress was quick to respond that her favourite Holi outfit was an ethnic one. “A white kurta and pyjama,” she said. “I want to get as colourful and messy as possible,” she continued, adding that the “new temporary” traditional pick would be from a designer's closet that she would keep in her wardrobe for “memory purposes”.
Sara Ali Khan dazzled in a silvery Varun Chakkilam lehenga, doused with glitter at the LFW. Although the actress took the sparkly route for the runaway, her Holi outfit favourite was as basic-chic as it could get. Unlike Ananya, Sara revealed that her ideal pick would be a “white shirt and shorts”. However, in case of a Plan B, she would preferably slip into a pair of denim jeans.
This year would mark Rakul Preet Singh's first Holi celebrations after tying the knot with longtime partner Jackky Bhagnani. Indeed, a special occasion for the newlyweds. Speaking about her favourite Holi outfit, the actress veered clear from whites for a change. “Generally people like white but I prefer something with shorts and a colourful T-shirt to add.” Breaking down the specifics, Rakul continued that she prefers something “like a nice neon or hot pink with some nice shorts.”
The Holi celebrations of these Bollywood celebrities are being met with style, there's no doubt about it. We can't wait for the pictures to surface.
