Nearly 10 years ago, Bella Hadid said, "You know how every model is like, 'I do yoga.' Well, I find horses have the same effect". The famous words, from her interaction with Porter Magazine in 2015, ring true even today. While Bella is best known as an international supermodel who walks on the glitziest catwalks of the world, there's a deeper side to her as an equestrian that she has peeled back a great deal in 2024.

In her latest Instagram post, the Hadid sister spoke about the way horseback riding has taught her invaluable lessons and developed her skill set. She wrote in her caption, "Being able to try new things and reach new goals, especially on horses again, has been the biggest joy of my life. I thank God every day for horses; for teaching and showing me unconditional love, happiness, connection, patience and hard work. I wouldn't be where I am today without them." In the accompanying video, she detailed her horseback riding journey with boyfriend Adan Banuelos and her progress in the sport, saying, "The first video is the first time I ever rode a cutting horse (CHAPO) w Adan a year and 8 months ago, to my first time showing 8 months ago, to the day we officially got the buckle."
Bella has been a horseback rider since she was a young girl but took a break from the sport in 2016 after her Lyme disease diagnosis, said People Magazine. 2023 marked her return to the equestrian sport; whose benefits include an improvement in co-ordination, core strength, mental well-being and posture. Since then, the supermodel has literally gotten back on the saddle and showcased how far she has come, all on horseback.
