The Coronavirus quarantine has put the spotlight on hygiene. When we think about cleanliness, instantly items in the outside world come to mind like door handles in malls, tables in restaurants and car seats in cabs. Hardly ever do we think that some of the filthiest objects can actually exist inside our homes. It's true! In every home, there are multiple points that are rife with germs and bacteria. When dusting, wiping and polishing, they can sometimes get overlooked, regardless of how vigilant we may be when cleaning. 1. Windows

Windows can accumulate facial grease and finger smudges for years if they aren't wiped. A mixture of soap and water with a dash of vinegar drives away the dirt and grease on windows. If you have window screens, don't forget to clean them too!

2. Window Sill

When left open, all kinds of dirt, dust and residue can settle on window sills. Being dry, first work on removing the dust with a toothbrush and vacuum cleaner. Once you've done that, wipe the sill with a damp cloth.

3. Mats And Closets

As they tend to be hidden, you may not notice the amount of mud and dirt that lies in shoe racks and door mats. Ensure you vacuum these objects 3 to 4 times a year to prevent dirt from entering your home.

4. Dishwasher Filters

If you find your dishes not coming out sparkling clean, it's time to replace the filters which are probably clogged with dirt. Wash it with soap and water to bring it back to life.
