Water base foundations are liquid and feel light and weightless on the skin. Cream base are oily foundations, thick like cream. Silicon foundations give a velvet texture and is a combination of both liquid and cream. Powder foundations feel smooth and silky over your skin. All these formulas vary in their consistency and shade.

Steps To Apply Foundation Perfectly

Step 1: Wash your face properly to remove dirt and oil. Exfoliate your skin using a scrub twice a week for an even tone.

Step 2: Moisturise your face before applying makeup. Apply a primer for smoother finish. Primer allows the makeup to stick and settle on your face evenly.

Step 3: Use a colour corrector to hide your dark circles and uneven patches.

Step 4: Take small amount of your foundation and apply it on your forehead, nose, chin, cheeks and under your eyes.

Step 5: Blend the foundation properly into the skin using a sponge or brush. Always stroke your brush outwards. Blend it smoothly to avoid lines on your ears, neck and hairline.

Step 6: Conceal your blemishes and pimples using a brush. Apply the concealer thoroughly under your eyes, around your nose, chin and wherever else required.

Step 7: Apply a setting powder or compact to avoid oil buildup and from your foundation sliding off.
