Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who recently became a father, is soaking in his parenthood era. In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Varun Dhawan appeared as a guest to promote his upcoming film Baby John. During the show, Varun opened up about fatherhood and how his life changed since his wife Natasha Dalal and him welcomed their daughter Lara Dhawan. Varun said, “I used to get scolded by one woman before, but now I get scolded by two. I am learning how to burp her, how to swaddle her. Sometimes when she starts crying, I feel terrified. Sometimes at night, when you are exhausted and she starts crying, I pretend to get up, but Natasha gets us before me and goes to soothe her. No, no...but you have to go because you feel anxious.”

Earlier, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Varun Dhawan shared his experience of becoming a parent and revealed the protective instincts which have emerged since his daughter's birth. He said, “I think when any individual, any man, becomes a parent, for the mother it is a different experience; I feel she becomes a tigress; that moment only something happens. But, as a man, I'd say that when we become parents, for some reason, you feel protection towards your daughter. I am sure you feel for sons also but towards the daughter... If anyone causes even so much (little) harm to her, I'd kill them. I am dead serious when I say that. Literally, I'd kill them.”

Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dala welcomed their first child, daughter Lara Dhawan earlier this year in June 2024.
