In A Saree With Dramatic Face Paint, Allu Defies Stereotypes In Pushpa 2

The wait for the biggest teaser drop of the year has come to an end. Of course, it is Pushpa 2: The Rulestarring Allu Arjun. The Telugu superstar's almost unrecognisable transformation in the clip is what has left most of us stunned. Allu Arjun was clad in a traditional blue pattu saree featuring embroidered borders with gold and red accents. The crisply pleated drape was secured with a waist accessory. His ornament-coded avatar comprised jhumkas, stacked bangles, rings, nose rings, and multi-tiered heavy necklaces, coupled with a flower garland wrapped around his neck. In terms of makeup, Allu Arjun's face was painted in shades of green and blue, with a hint of white. Dark kohl-rimmed eyes, coupled with a bottu on the forehead, with a reversed crescent, contributed to the gritty feel. Ghungroos on both ankles added an edge to the already stellar look.

In another page of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 look book, the actor nailed the gangster vibe. A multicoloured shirt was his pick in the teaser poster. The outfit came in the hues of blue, red, and orange on a pink base. The sleeves were rolled up in a signature Allu Arjun fashion. The actor completed his OOTD by slipping into a printed veshti. Moving forward toward his accessory game, Allu Arjun also sported uber-cool, orange-tinted sunglasses, accompanied by gold bangles, rings, and multiple neckpieces. A rugged beard and messy hair gave the finishing touches.

In Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun made headlines for his rough-and-tough look, which only went higher in the upcoming part 2. In one of the film posters, the star sported a sturdy and rural look. He wore a green and grey chequered shirt, pairing it with brown trousers. His face was smeared with dirt,  highlighting the crux of the plot. A plain bangle, ring, and black thread around his neck did the rest of the job.
