1. Apple cider vinegar

You may have heard about the benefits of apple cider vinegar for maintaining weight. It can also help you lighten the shade of your elbow and knees. Just mix apple cider vinegar and water together, mix them well, and apply the solution to your elbows and knees using a cotton ball. Let it stay for about 15 minutes before washing it off.

2. Cucumber

Cucumber too can help you get rid of those dark patches around the elbow and knees. In addition, cucumber also gives a cooling sensation which can be pleasing in summer. Just rub a slice of cucumber or apply cucumber juice to the dark areas of your skin. Wash after 20 minutes.

3. Baking Soda And Milk

Your elbows and knees can get dark also due to the accumulation of dead cells. Baking soda can help remove this while milk can effectively make the skin smooth. Take a tablespoon of baking soda and milk, mix them together, and apply to your knees or elbows. Do it on alternate days and see the difference.

4. Oatmeal And Yogurt

These two ingredients work similarly to baking soda and milk. They help moisturise the skin and lighten the dark patches. Mix equal quantities of oatmeal and yogurt and apply to your elbows and knees. Leave it for 20 minutes then rinse.

5. Turmeric

Turmeric has many medicinal properties and it can also come in handy in getting rid of dark elbows and knees. You can use it in powder form. Mix turmeric powder with water and apply it directly to the dark areas. Wash it off after about 10 minutes.
