Sonam Kapoor loves all things classy and aesthetic. Much like her fashion flair, the diva incorporates similar elements when it comes to home decor as well. From her stucco building in Notting Hill, the actress has moved into a condominium in Mumbai. Skeptical at first, Sonam slowly began to admire her new Mumbai home featuring “double-height ceilings and the sweep of the lateral space”. She started to relish “the idea of creating a spectacle from sheer nothingness." Designed by her aunt Kavita Singh, Sonam's residence in the City Of Dreams pays homage to Indian craftsmanship and heritage at its best.

The living room features a collection of colourful and masterfully created Tanjore paintings hanging on the walls. A bespoke sofa from the Kavita Singh Interiors label was decorated with Mughal-inspired zardozi and jamawar cushions. They were weaved from antique textiles. Surrounding the lavish sofa was a cluster of brass tables placed upon a sarouk wool rug. Coming to the bar area, the furniture here was carved out of teak wood. Austrian silver candelabras raised the overall luxury quotient.

The walls at the royal dressing table were customised in blue and white paint. A Venetian mirror, coupled with dhurrie rug, and silver tableware was the perfect decor move. One cannot miss out on the archaic candle stands as they were simply mesmerising. The primary bedroom had a Rajasthani-styled repurposed jali standing behind the upholstered bed. The dramatic chandelier and cosy bedding set forth a regal affair. Chinese and Dutch pottery including silver objects enhanced the room's appeal.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's son Vayu's room was made to emanate a forestry feel. Jungle mural paintings dominated the walls. There were custom-made furniture and stuffed animals including a 1960s-inspired art deco chandelier. A rocking horse toy from Hermes was kept atop a quirky table lamp. White bedding with illustrated covers elevated the kid-like factors in the room.

The guest room comprises featured walls, a chandelier, a Victorian colonial campaign Mandalay musical chest, and stunning colour-coordinated bedding arrangements, Vintage chairs and an antique bench positioned at the right places.
