Millennium pink was everywhere last year. From street style to bakery shops - it was the ultimate favourite. And like it as we may, it's time is up. Millennium pink is about to retire and that leaves the way open for another colour to take its place. While Ultra Violet may be Pantone's colour of the year, we're actually seeing a shift in fashion towards...yellow. Not just a bright, sunshine yellow but also a more mellow, mustard yellow. Every fashion blogger is styling it, every couture designer is using it and every online store is stocking it. We've even seen some celebrities wearing it recently, from Gal Gadot to Deepika Padukone. Have a look:

Even last year, the red carpet saw more than its share of yellow gowns on celebrities:

And then there was the runway, Stella Mccartney and Christian Siriano being only two of the many designers who added a splash of yellow to their collections.

Here, at the Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2018 show, the collection finale is even led by a yellow number.

Have we convinced you that yellow is something you need to add to your 2018 wardrobe yet? If yes, then this is how to do it:

1. Winter layers

Rock a full sleeve duster coat before winter is completely gone. You can pair it with white basics for the day or black ones for a night-out outfit. It'll help the yellow stand out while not making your look seem too busy.

2. Easy like Sunday morning

There's no easier way to sport a trend than to do it with casual wear. And nothing says casual better than a simple, comfy sweatshirt. Wear it with your denims or even your track pants to go the athleisure way. Perfect for a girlfriends-only Sunday brunch.

3. Back to basics

'I have enough crop tops.' - said no girl ever. If you're not sure about the colour suiting your skin tone, go easy with a sleeveless crop top. You can wear it with your regular blue denims and add a printed shrug to take away some focus from the yellow. It'll balance out the look quite well.
