The world has been hit by the royal fever, ever since Prince Harry asked Meghan Markle to marry him. Nothing about the wedding has been kept under wraps, from the venue (St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle) to the date (May 19). And unlike sister-in-law Kate Middleton's wedding dress which was something of a state secret, details of Meghan's bridal gown seem to have been let slip. From the looks of it, Israeli designer Inbal Dror is the frontrunner to secure the honour of dressing the future duchess for her wedding. In the past, Dror has dressed powerful women like Beyonce and Naomi Watts. "We received a request from the royal family to send a sketch.", a spokesperson for the label confirmed to People magazine. And three sketches, rumoured to be the designs of the proposed dress, seem to have found their way to TMZ.

Meghan Markle will have broken from tradition if she goes with Dror, considering England's royal brides have so far been seen in British designers, a tradition established by Queen Victoria in 1840. Kate Middleton, at her wedding, opted for an Alexander McQueen dress designed by Sarah Burton - an A-line skirt with a fitted bodice, lace inserts and long sleeves. Alexander McQueen also provided the matching pumps, while her earrings were a gift from her parents.
British Fashion Council chairman Harold Tillman told The Daily Mail that he wouldn't be surprised if Meghan Markle and the royal family chose an international designer to design the gown, especially since Meghan isn't British herself.
In an interview with Hello! Meghan admitted to a preference for dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic. It looks like the designer kept that in mind and created two different gowns, if the sketches are anything to go by. The first is a mermaid silhouette, with puffy shoulders and a lace front. The back looks like it has a dramatic train to follow. The second dress is a more dramatic gown with a heavier skirt and embellishments. Both designs have long sleeves, a tradition among royal brides.
Dror, known for sheer inserts and plunging necklines, is definitely not a choice that a demure, blushing bride would make. Which is why, we're pleasantly surprised by Meghan's reported pick.
Some have speculated that Meghan Markle wanted to incorporate the Lily of the Valley, a flower that was a prominent part of Princess Diana's wedding bouquet, into her gown's design.
We're definitely keen to know what more surprises the new addition to the royal family will have in store for us.
