A new venture from the management of Poco Loco is Isvara, a quaint cafe in the vicinity of Poco Loco at Khar. This open-air cafe has a chill vibe with lovely music being played. Moreover it is a pet-friendly and work-friendly joint where you can work the whole day long with your laptop, or simply enjoy a cosy evening with friends. The healthy yet delicious menu of Isvara is curated by Chef Atesh. As we went in for an early dinner, we were greeted by BK, who was the manager of the cafe. He took us through their signature dishes and suggested some lip-smacking ones too.

The Ambience
The open-air cafe has cosy seating with couches, low tables and comfortable cushioned chairs. The lighting of the cafe was warm, welcoming and included a perfect romantic set-up with great music being played in the background. The decor can be categorised as earthy and minimal. The well-lit tree in the centre of the cafe was the highlight of the decor which had multiple yellow light bulbs lit in inverted cane baskets.
The Food
We started our night with their Homemade Bubble Tea. The Peach Pearl with Cranberry Tea was a refreshing drink with wobbly pearls, giving it a fun twist.
Their all-day breakfast menu is quite elaborate and we were tempted to order their signature Egg Mountain. In essence, it is a combination of truffle scrambled eggs, hash brown with creamy spinach and yellow cheddar. It was layered to perfection and came with slices of brown bread. It was no doubt the perfect breakfast dish, and it tasted equally good in the evening.

Their special sharing plates included a Herbs Grilled Chicken Supreme with Chili Mayo, which was a classic grilled chicken supreme with homemade Indian chilli reduction mayo. The perfectly marinated chicken skewers were finely cooked and tasted great with the mayo dip. The plating won some additional brownie points for the skewers.
We then ordered a Green Herbs Chicken Sandwich which was exotic and healthy. It came with pieces of marinated chicken, raw onion, tomatoes, iceberg and melted cheddar. The sandwich was absolutely divine and is a must-try dish at the cafe.
We concluded our meal with a rich and healthy Masala Chickpeas Buddha Bowl. The bowl was rich in flavour and high on healthy details with Masala Chickpeas, served with cucumber, tomato and raw onion slices with slow-cooked brown rice. Each morsel of the dish was full of homemade Indian flavours and defined simplicity in every way.
Our Verdict
Isvara is surely going to surprise you with its healthy dishes, modern cuisine and amazing ambience. Their expansive menu with exotic salads, bowls, calming teas, and beverages ensures there is something for everyone who visits the place.
