We adore Keke Palmer for many reasons and the fact that she's always her authentic self comes right on top. The actress, who was last seen in Nope and Lightyear in 2022, has always managed to find the humour in everything. In 2020, Keke was candid about suffering from PCOS and how she struggled to treat the symptoms of acne that came with the hormonal disorder. Though rarely spoken about, adult acne can be an extremely trying to deal with emotionally and physically. Especially for a celebrity in the spotlight whose appearance means a great to deal to them, we can relate to Keke's feelings even more so.

Recently, Keke announced her pregnancy with partner Darius Jackson and even before their bundle of joy arrived in the world, her baby bump already seemed to be bringing her great job. In her latest video on Instagram, Keke is seen speaking to the camera about how her skin was looking "extremely flat" with "no more of the bumps and raises". She continues to talk about the smoothness her skin is experiencing for the first time in a long and then says, "I found the secret to clearing up my acne and it's getting knocked up." Keke's skin is certainly looking terrific so it seems like pregnancy can work more than just one miracle on the body.
And while Keke sprinkles her signature humour on the topic of her adult acne being affected by pregnancy, it's the truth. Because of the cocktail of hormones at play when one is pregnant, it can either affect the skin negatively or positively. While many experience an increase in pimples and pigmentation when pregnant, others like Keke see much happier results. The term "pregnancy glow" was conjured for this very phenomenon where women have found their skin glowing and luminous when pregnant. One thing's for certain, it's no permanent way to tackle that troublesome acne.
