Manisha Koirala is currently enjoying her time vacationing, and we are loving her travel diaries. The star, along with other celebrities like Shekhar Kapur, Kaveri Kapur and Vardhaan Puri is in Nepal. Manisha shared a glimpse of their vacation on Instagram. In the video by Vardhaan, we can see all of them on an outing visiting some of the most famous places in Nepal. Sharing the video he wrote, “In August company, Ps: Nepal we love you”. Historical monuments to visit in Nepal  

  1. Kathmandu Durbar Square 

Also known as the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, this place is famous for its architectural legacy and charm. It is said that this World Heritage Site is where the kings of Nepal used to rule and be crowned. This place provides you with a deep knowledge of the rulers of the Malla Dynasty, all thanks to the numerous majestic buildings and architecture.  

  1. Boudhanath Stupa  

Located on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Boudhanath stupa is known to be one of the holiest Buddhist sites for Tibetans which is situated outside Tibet. It is believed that this is one of the biggest Buddhist Stupas in the world. Explore the five different segments of the stupa representing the different elements of life and the triangular shaped golden spire.

This world heritage site is a popular holy site for Hindu devotees. Pashupatinath is home to various temples dedicated to lord Shiva. Located in Kathmandu, this ancient temple holds a lot of significance. One can visit and seek the blessing of the lord and participate in the divine evening aarti.

Another must-visit world heritage site in Nepal, Bhaktapur Durbar Square beautifully represents Nepali culture and traditions. Surrounded by historical and ancient buildings, this place offers a rich culture heritage. Golden Gate and Vatsala Temple are some of the major attractions here.  

  1. Janakpur  

Witness the religious significance and feel the taste of different cultures, traditions and history of the country. The place holds a religious  significance as it is believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita. One can also explore the beauty and inspiring Maithili art and culture of this ancient city.
