While we're all awaiting the influx of summer blockbusters this season, there's another flick we're looking forward to and that's Zero. The movie is scheduled for a year end release but that hasn't stopped film buffs from counting down the days to it, making it a much-talked about Bollywood film in recent times. And Zero star Katrina Kaif just fuelled interest in the film anew by posting a picture of herself dressed as a traditional Bengali bride.
Since shooting and production is underway for Zero, every nugget of information received about it is welcome - Katrina's post has been accordingly received. The drama will see the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Abhay Deol, apart from Katrina, playing a whimsical mix of characters, including SRK as a dwarf. The movie will also see the late Sridevi posthumously on screen one final time in a cameo role.
There's plenty of talk about Katrina's role in the movie too as she is reported to be playing an actress. Finally, after months of buzz, Katrina herself gave us a sneak peek at her look in the film. On her Instagram profile, she posted a picture of herself in a Bengali bridal look with old world charm, gazing dreamily into the distance. Since it is in black and white, little can be deciphered but she seems to be wearing full brows, a deep lip and matching bindi with the traditional dots above the brows. Along with this is heavy jewellery on the ears, neck and head with bangles, including the 'shankha pola' worn by Bengali wives.
Of course that was enough to further build anticipation of movie fans. Katrina was snapped on the sets of the film as well. She is seen, in colour thankfully, wearing a red and gold banarasi saree with lots of gold jewellery and her hair in what seems to be a braid.
Last month too, she gave us a glimpse while shooting for Zero wearing a naath chain, heavy earrings, a maang tikka and necklace with a peach embroidered blouse.
It looks like the fashion and beauty quotient in this flick is going to soar through the roof. And if not for anything else, it seems like a good enough reason to wait for December to come.
