Back in 2023, BRIDES magazine had an exclusive conversation with marriage expert Elizabeth Overstreet, who explained how travelling together as a married couple helps build a stronger relationship. “Something is happening when two people travel together. They are spending time with one another, learning how to navigate and enjoy these new surroundings and creating new and fresh experiences with one another.”

Unlocks New Levels Of Bonding

Elizabeth stated, “Travel helps break up the monotony allows you to bond with your partner even more and gives you the downtime to remember and reminisce on what brought you two together and continue strengthening your bond with one another.” As per Elizabeth, here are other ways travel keeps marital bliss alive.

Breaks Montonous Routine

As humans, we are so routine-oriented that it leads to static relationships. Elizabeth says, “Couples who can break away from the routine help to disrupt their relationship in a positive way and that can be a good thing for keeping things interesting in a relationship with one another.”

Allows New Experiences

How does travel help keep marriage intact, one may ask Well, the unique bonding activity is a great opportunity to simply try something new together. As per Elizabeth, “Relationships aren't linear. There will be ups and downs. The couple that succeeds at meeting the challenge are willing to explore, try different things, and brave new territories with one another. It's how a couple grows, discovers one another, and creates a long-lasting, healthy bond.”

Discover Different Attributes

Another important aspect of travelling together as per Elizabeth is planning and organising the trip together which helps to rediscover each other's attributes. “Travel really is an amplifier of highlighting your partner's attributes. It also helps get more time for both physical and emotional intimacy.

Just like Parineeti and Raghav, keep the love ignited by travelling the world together.
