We've never waited for a red carpet function as much as we have the MET Gala 2021 and it definitely did not disappoint. Following the theme 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion', the stars brought out only their most statement-making looks. From Kim Kardashian and Rihanna to Kaia Gerber and Maisie Williams, black tones took over the red carpet. But don't be mistaken into thinking it was all black gowns and tuxedos because that wouldn't cut it at a costume gala, now would it? Kim Kardashian starts off our list in a Balenciaga ensemble that was literally from head to toe. Including a fitted tunic, tights and a train, it covered her entire face, neck, legs and shoes as well.
