Kylie Jenner gave birth to a baby girl last week. The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan seems to have had an unusually peaceful time with her keeping out of the public eye so as to keep her pregnancy a secret. But finally, after the birth of her daughter, Kylie and the rest of the family announced her arrival and confirmed Kylie's highly speculated pregnancy on their respective and various social media portals. After her sister Kim Kardashian gave her children rather, um, unusual names - North, Saint and Chicago - the world's gaze and attention was now obviously on Kylie and what she was going to name the newest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Keeping up with her siblings - including Rob Kardashian who named his daughter Dream and Kourtney Kardashian who named her youngest Reign - Kylie chose a name that was fitting for the trend her siblings have started of picking "unusual" and some would say, bizarre names. She has named her daughter Stormi Webster.

The Kardashians and Jenners aren't alone when it comes to keeping names that the rest of the world cannot fathom. Seems like many rich and famous celebrities have a penchant for opting for names that are far from usual when it comes to naming their children. Here are a few names we just can't get our heads around.
1. Apple Martin
Is it a drink? A song? In case you're confused about what an Apple Martin really is, let us clear it for you - it's the name of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's 13-year-old daughter. She might be the apple of their eyes, but we're not sure how Apple, who is a teenager now, would really feel about the fact that her parents named her after a fruit, or in more recent times, a multinational technology company. No, it's not a chapter out of an eighth-grade science textbook. This very unusually fascinating name belongs to the son of actress Shannyn Sossamon. Shannyn is best remembered for her roles in 40 Days And 40 Nights, The Rules Of Attraction, A Knight's Tale and in more recent times for her special appearance in The Holiday.
3. Blue Ivy Carter
It's hard to miss this one out of any list that includes weird celebrity kid names. Blue Ivy might be a more popular name in most households, given that her parents are Beyonce and Jay Z, but that doesn't change the fact that these two musical geniuses would have been better off naming a song or even an album Blue Ivy. But their daughter? Even after all these years we're not sure what they were thinking, or not thinking.
4. Ode Mountain
Honestly, it's not that surprising when you think of it in context that Jena Malone, Ode Mountain DeLorenzo Malone's mom, was a part of The Hunger Games series. We're not sure what the inspiration could have been behind The Hunger Games actress' choice of name, but it definitely seems like all that time spent in nature rubbed off on her. After all, her son's name really is quite the "Ode" to nature.
5. North West
On the list is also Kylie's very own sister, Kim Kardashian. We're not sure if Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were headed in the right 'direction' with the choice of their first born daughter's name - but as strange as it sounded to the world at first, North West seems to have rubbed off on the world. It could have something to do with all the cute pictures of North floating about the internet. It's hard to find anything about that name peculiar when a child so cute owns it.
With all these anomalous names going around, we wonder what Khloe Kardashian, who is also pregnant and about to pop soon, will name her child.
