Lakme Fashion Week isn't just a showcase for trending garments and celebrity showstoppers, beauty also gets a prime place at bi-annual event. Along with makeup giant Lakme launching a new beauty line each time around, the runways also serve as a blank canvas to showcase experimental 'dos and haute looks that are set to make a splash in the season ahead. On day 4 of Lakme Fashion Week, these 7 beauty looks lit the runway.
1. Anushree Reddy
While wearing pastel toned Indian wear, the models at Anushree Reddy showcased a look which consisted of glowing, bronzed skin, brushed back brows and pert pink lips. Accompanying it was centre parted hair worn back loose to complete the effortlessly summery look.
2. Kotwara
For a show as dramatic as Kotwara, you can expect the beauty look to be just as high on theatrics. Models wore negative space winged eyeliner, a blank section at the centre of the lid paired with neutral glossy lips and a springy mid-length ponytail.
3. Nishka Lulla
In keeping with her candy floss vibe, Nishka Lulla's collection was paired with barely-there makeup, with a touch of quirk. Models wore naturally finished skin with full brows, eye dots on the bottom lash line and creamy peach lips with miniature braids in their straight hair.
4. Payal Singhal
Trust Payal Singhal to always match up the makeup with her spectacular garments. This season, models sported brown smokey eyes, filled in brows, highlighted skin and nude lips. Finishing it off was a twisted strand hairstyle for just an added touch of drama.
5. Sva
Keeping all the focus on the statement-making accessories, the beauty look at Sva was low-key yet radiant with fresh, strobed skin, natural hair worn in a centre part and thick brows.
6. Shriya Som
Wearing a divine white ruffled number, Disha Patani cast a spell on the audience as the showstopper for Shriya Som with a bold red eye makeup look, flushed cheeks and a messy pulled back updo. Experimental, no doubt but this one pulled it off like a dream.
7. Shantanu & Nikhil
Eye art seemed to be a reigning theme on day 4 of Lakme Fashion Week as models at the Shantanu & Nikhil show flaunted a David Bowie-esque black line striking through the eye with an otherwise neutral face and a septum ring. The hair was worn in a sleek pulled back low knot to keep all focus on the eye makeup look.
