If there was ever a fountain of youth, many would pay good money to get a drink from it. In our modern existence of airbrushed makeup and filtered photos, even the slightest crease of a wrinkle is shuddered at. So imagine when it's coming from Christine Brinkley. The legendary supermodel from the 80s took to Instagram to hit back at what she calls the "wrinkle brigade" i.e. age-shaming commenters who criticize celebrity appearances after scoping them out on social media. Christine wrote in her caption, "The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread! They are the people that scan celebrities pages, hoping to find some cellulite, wrinkles, or anything that they can point to to critique. It must be some form of compensation for something they are lacking." In the photo posted alongside the words, Christine is seen pouting with wrinkles fully visible over her forehead, eye area and neck while her sleek blonde tresses sweep her shoulders.

The modelling icon continued in her caption, "But when those people appear, there are others who pop up with messages so kind and valuable. Those are the comments that restore my faith and make my heart sing! Thank you sweet souls." Broadmindedly enough, Christine chose not to be negative about eagle-eyed commenters who tear celebrities down behind the anonymity of the internet. While toxic comments do exist, it's nice to see celebrities highlight the kindness instead of hatred. The supermodel focused on the positive side of the internet; which is a rarity in itself, while also showing us that aging is perfectly natural and wrinkles can be carried off with grace.
