This is definitely not one of those fitness trends that become a rage suddenly and later loose fizz. Much like other forms of yoga, face yoga works in numerous ways to benefit your body, mind and soul. Come to think of it, your face is made up of muscles and when you work on those muscles, it will not just help in boosting blood circulation in that area but help release stress and bring about a sense of relaxation. Don't believe us? Well, hear it from an expert, who'll take you through the benefits of face yoga and how to practise it regularly.
Jahnavi Patwardhan, master yoga trainer of Sarva & Diva Yoga says, "Face yoga is something that most people haven't heard of, but it works the same way as other forms of yoga asanas do for our body. There's a lot of things we want for our face - we want it to glow, be acne free, not dull, oily or dry. You can achieve that by maintaining a good digestive system as your stomach is where all the magic happens, getting good sleep and taking less stress. Once you start following a healthy lifestyle, you can further take care of your skin by practising face yoga to reduce signs of premature ageing or to keep your skin youthful and radiant. "
Simple Ways To Practise Face Yoga
Yoga trainer Jahnavi shares the basic steps of face yoga. She says, "Through face yoga, there's a lot you can do for your face. Here are a few quick exercises that you can incorporate in your daily routine - when you wake up, just before sleeping or after your workout - whenever you are comfortable."

Following these face yoga exercises, you can help restore blood circulation in your face and tackle common issues like dark circles around the eyes, burning or tired eyes, early wrinkles and fine lines and even a double chin.
Jahnavi says, "We don't really do much with the face all day because of which the blood circulation to it may not be good, leading to dullness. These exercises help to gently massage the face muscles to pump blood to the cells, release stress and even tackle problems like dark circles, wrinkles and double chin. Our eyes too endure a lot of stress because of the time we spend in front of the screen. Through face yoga, you can refresh your eyes and the skin around it."
