Nora Fatehi recently took her followers on an adventure as she set off on her very first train journey by Indian Railways to Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, for the wedding of her long-time team member, Anup. While the wedding itself was a special occasion, Nora also made sure to share the excitement of her first train ride with her fans, inviting them along for the experience. At Mumbai's Dadar station, she kept a low profile, wearing a mask, dark glasses, and a hoodie to avoid being recognised. It was an early morning ride and we saw Nora settling into her seat at 6 am for the journey ahead. During the journey, she was spotted capturing the stunning scenery on her phone, soaking in the sights and making memories along the way. Nora's train journey wasn't just about attending a wedding — it also provided the perfect backdrop for first-time travellers, like herself, to learn how to make their train experience more comfortable.

While she shared glimpses of her adventure, we've taken a few key takeaways from Nora's journey to offer tips for those about to embark on their own first rail ride.
Pack a travel kit: A travel kit with essentials like a neck pillow and earplugs, among other items, can enhance your comfort, as seen on Nora, while she snapped photos along the way.
Reach the station early: Arriving at least 30 to 45 minutes before departure gives you ample time to navigate through the station and find your platform.
Comfort is key: Nora made sure to stay comfortable on her trip, and so should you. Wear breathable clothing, comfortable shoes and pack a blanket for added relaxation, especially on long journeys.
Keep your camera ready: Train rides often offer breathtaking views. Keep your phone or camera handy to capture scenic landscapes, just like Nora did, to make the most of those picture-perfect moments.
Carry snacks and stay hydrated: Pack light snacks like fruits, nuts and biscuits, and carry a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your trip.
Unplug: Take this opportunity to disconnect and relax, but remember to carry a charger for your devices so you're never left powerless when you want to watch something or play games.
Use travel apps: Use apps like IRCTC or Trainman to stay updated on train schedules, platforms and seat availability and make your trip more organised.
Safety first: Keep your belongings secure by using a padlock for your luggage and always staying alert while interacting with others.
Whether you're new to train travel or just looking for ways to improve your experience, Nora's journey is sure to inspire.
