5. GreenDesk
GreenDesk is the brainchild of Himanshu Agarwal, who came up with the idea when he noticed a huge price difference in vegetables sold online, in grocery stores, and in the local mandi. The company was launched in October 2016 in Himanshu's native Jaipur, starting with three clients and 90 orders per month, using the mandi as a supplier. Through more research, they were able to source produce directly from the farmers. Eliminating the middle man proved crucial in their expansion, as the 600 farmers they deal directly with now supply to more than 60 clients across the country with over 1000 orders per month.
