Priyanka Chopra shares her life lesson and it is simpler to follow than you think

Priyanka Chopra wears her heart on her sleeve. She speaks her mind on a variety of topics that range from self-love to practising kindness. On Monday, the global icon once again expressed her views on self-love and wellbeing. She dropped a before and after image on Instagram, showcasing her “pre-teen era” and the other when she bagged the Miss India trophy in 2000. The two pictures serve as clear proof that puberty and grooming can transform physical appearance over time. But what is more important is to treat yourself with kindness (always).

Priyanka Chopra's long note begins with a warning, “Don't troll my 9-year-old self.” Elaborating on the first throwback picture, she emphasised how hitting puberty and adopting grooming practices could significantly change a person's appearance. Priyanka wrote, “So wild to think about what puberty and grooming can do to a girl. On the left is me in my awkward pre-teen era with a “Boy cut” hairstyle so it wouldn't be cumbersome at school. (Thanks ma Madhu Chopra ) I went from a “katori cut” to this. So it was a win.”

Speaking about her 17-year-old self in the next snap, Priyanka Chopra added, “On the right is me at 17, having just won Miss India in the year 2000 and basking in the glory of hair, makeup and wardrobe. Both pictures were taken less than a decade apart.” Quoting American pop singer Britney Spears, the actress revealed. “I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. That was exactly how I felt then, entering the big world of entertainment.”

On a concluding note, Priyanka Chopra wrote that being kind and loving to oneself are crucial components of well-being. She signed off by saying, “Almost 25 years later… still figuring it out. Though, aren't we all? Looking back at my younger self often makes me kinder to myself today. Think about your younger self and how much she has done for you. Love yourself, you've gone through a lot to be where you are today.”

Priyanka Chopra might be an icon now, but her story reminds us to be gentle with ourselves even after we grow up.
