We are living in the best time of the year—the festive season. The time is about right to bring out our ethnic best. But when it comes to traditional numbers, we often rest our faith with bright shimmery eyes and bold red lips for glam. Not only are these time-consuming but also a bit monotonous when you have to always carry it on every occasion. What's the solution? “Bollywood's Dhak Dhak girl” recently shared a video, demonstrating simple and effective festive make-up. In the clip, Madhuri can be heard stressing about skincare and achieving a perfect base, before going ahead with eye makeup. Giving herself a flawless base, Madhuri applies some primer on her eyelid, so that sweating does not wash off her eye shadow. She begins with a neutral colour to create the base and later merges it with an ivory tone and a bit of orange eye shadow. She suggested firstly tapping the brush and applying the colour in an upward motion, to create a lifted look.

Next, she takes a bit of shimmer as she is going for a night event. Using a flat brush, Madhuri Dixit applied some shiny bronze colour in the centre of her eyelid. Instead of brushing it, she was seen pressing it. Madhuri has just given us an easy and effortless way of creating smokey eyes. All you have to do is apply a thin kohl liner and then smudge it with a sponge. Don't miss out on your under-eye. Madhuri applied a bit darker tone under her eyes and merged the corner with her upper eyelid. Of course, the last step would be mascara. Once contoured and blushed your cheeks it's time for your cheeks. While applying the lip colour keeping your dress in mind is extremely crucial. Madhuri chose a wine-coloured lip colour. She carried this look with an orange chikankari kurta with a subtle sequin work.
For Manish Malhotra's Diwali Party, Madhuri Dixit carried a matte base with rose pink lips and neutral eyeshadow. Instead of carrying the subtly smokey eyes, the actress wore eyeliner without wings, which sat harmoniously above her wispy add-on lashes. Her perfect arched brows gave a proper frame to her face. Lastly, a touch or highlighter gave her face an appearance of glass-like skin. She carried this look with an all-black sequin saree.
While Madhuri Dixit has a penchant for neutral eye makeup when she sides with bright hues it calls for drama.
