Proving that sass and style can go hand-in-hand, she's one of tinsel town's finest. The gorgeous wife of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor and mother of soon-to-be film debutant Shanaya Kapoor is brimming with confidence and banters with ease. As seen on The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, Maheep has left her mark. So when she launched her line of jewellery called Glow by Maheep Kapoor with Tyaani Jewellers, it came as no surprise to see her contribute to the world of fashion. NDTV Swirlster spoke to Maheep Kapoor for her take on making fashion her own and the jewellery she can't do without.
NDTV Swirlster: How did Glow by Maheep Kapoor come to life?
Maheep Kapoor: During the pandemic, we had a massive forced break. I wanted to make more affordable, more flexible and more wearable jewellery. So I spruced it up. The core of it is the same; it's old world charm, it's my forte. I believe you should be able to pass on this jewellery to your daughters and daughters-in-law.

NDTV Swirlster: Which are 3 must-have jewellery pieces for women?
Maheep Kapoor: Picking just three is tough because a girl has pants, gowns, jeans and much more. Essentials would be chandbalis, of course. Next, a pair of solitaires and finally, a tennis bracelet.
NDTV Swirlster: What fashion advice would you pass on to Shanaya and women her age?
Maheep Kapoor: One thing I will say - just own it! "Should I wear this? Is it too much?" So many women are insecure and worried about what other people think. You have to own it; whatever it is that you wear, whether it's OTT or subtle. My advice is just be confident in what you're wearing and you're fine.
NDTV Swirlster: Have you tried any beauty or fashion trends from social media for yourself? Tell us about it.
Maheep Kapoor: I do see women dress up on social media and many of them inspire me. I see a lot of bags and shoes on social media and then go, "ah, that's what I want!" but there isn't anything specific as far as trends are concerned.
NDTV Swirlster: Does Shanaya Kapoor get her amazing sense of style from her mom or dad?
Maheep Kapoor: Not from her father; it's all me! But Sanjay does have a spark of fashion when dressing is concerned but otherwise, it's all me.
