As a strict wellness enthusiast, her motivational workout videos serve as reminders to go hard on self-care. In her latest Instagram Stories, the actress shared a mirror selfie from a gym facility on a Tuesday morning. The picture was proof that midweek blues and scorching summer temperatures posed no threat, whatsoever, to her gym schedule. Malavika was dressed in a black sports bralette and matching track pants, coupled with a similar colour-coded cap. Her washboard abs were on full display, proving the rigour of her training sessions. With the treadmill behind and heavyweights in the front, Malavika was ready to jump into her exercise routine. A treadmill-dumbbell workout combo increases muscle size, stimulates bone density, promotes weight loss, and reduces the risk of heart problems.

Not long ago, Malavika Mohanan offered a sneak peek into her upper body workout. She opted for a bent-over cable workout. Grasping resistance bands for support she held her ground in a squat position and pulled the equipment straps repeatedly. The exercise helps to strengthen your shoulder blade muscles and spine, promoting better posture and helping you to get slimmer. Explaining why workouts are an important part of her life, Malavika wrote, “Watching my own strength and resilience increase gradually and to watch my body now do things which in the past have felt seemingly impossible makes me realise the power of ‘one day at a time' and how the only 2 things you need (which are also the hardest) are consistency and discipline to grow in pretty much anything you set out to do. P.S.: My pink shoes motivate me to work out.”
Malavika Mohanan takes her warmups seriously too. Earlier, she displayed a series of Silambam moves — a type of martial arts, as a part of her “arm workout”. The benefits of Silambam include muscle toning, enhanced mobility, improved coordination, reduced anxiety, and increased mindfulness.
