If the trailers of the upcoming movie Gold are anything to go by, looks like Mouni Roy is all set to kill it in Bollywood. Starring opposite Akshay Kumar in the movie, Mouni seems to be having the time of her life promoting the film which is to release August 15. But when it comes to her sartorial choices, looks like Mouni is floundering a tad bit. While out promoting the movie, Mouni has been wearing a few pretty outfits and some that are a little too experimental for her. While some of the outfits stood out, some were better left alone.

Here are some sartorial hits and misses of Mouni Roy.
Yesterday, Mouni wore a sparkling navy-blue lehenga-choli by Loka. While the outfit was simple, what stood out was the pair of elaborate blue meena earrings by Golecha's Jewels, intricately embellished with pearls & polkis. She should definitely wear those again.

But then there was this yellow number by Deme By Gabriella in form of a co-ord set that made us go "Ummm?" While the colour screams summer vibes, the asymmetrical hem of the skirt didn't work out as expected.
But out of all the looks, nothing raised our eyebrows like when she wore this Archana Rao mint ruffle sari with appliqué flower detailing that she paired with a bird print blouse. Here is a lesson in how not to do quirky, kids.
The time when we actually did fully approve of a look was when Mouni wore this Pinnacle by Shruti Sancheti top and skirt combo in earthy colours. Chic and rightly paired with the statement earrings by Aquamarine Jewellery, the outfit was elegant and simple.
So turns out simple is what Mouni's stylist Rishika Devnani should be going for more often. Let's just edge out the edgy so early in the career, yeah?
