Come festivals, and our Bollywood divas get busy bringing their best sartorial foot forward. From glamorous shararas to the best of contemporary fashion, with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the actresses have set the mood right for this year's festive season. Leading from the front is Mouni Roy. The actress in her latest Instagram post confessed that she is a “lover of the classics.” And, we couldn't agree more. The confession came alongside a set of breathtaking pictures of the actress, decked up in a pink saree. Mouni Roy wore the gorgeous saree to the Ambani Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations on September 19. The drape, with traditional golden prints all over, was from the shelves of clothing brand Raw Mango. Mouni complemented her saree with a half-sleeve golden blouse, and traditional gold jewellery consisting of earrings, a choker necklace and a haar. A sleek bun hairdo looked elegant. Her feline eyes were accentuated with kohl and bold eyeliner. Mouni wore matte finish skin with tinted cheeks and truffle-brown lips. Mouni's BFF Disha Patani has said it on our behalf. The actress commented, “The most beautiful” and can you disagree?

At the Lokmat Most Stylish Awards, Mouni Roy walked away with the Most Stylish Path Breaker trophy. At the event, the Brahmastra actress looked ethereal in a white chiffon saree, from designer Rohit Bal. The sheer number came with scalloped borders, adorned with zari work. Underneath, she added a white sleeveless blouse, showcasing a daring plunging neckline. Mouni's signature bun and kohl-rimmed eyes accompanied her look.
Not just the heavy-duty sarees, Mouni Roy looks equally ethereal in lightweight numbers. Take this indigo saree for instance. Breaking away from Bollywood's chiffon trend, she draped herself in a cotton saree, adorned with white prints. Mouni gave a chic twist to her desi outing with a white ribbed crop top. Some oxidised bracelets and anklets for accessories worked wonders in elevating her ensemble. For the glam, she took the minimalistic route with pink lips, kohl-rimmed eyes, and a black bindi.
Previously, Mouni Roy set the internet ablaze with a black saree, adorned with vibrant red borders. The midriff-baring blouse put her toned physique on display. To top it off, she wore a stack of red bangles to further complement her cotton drape. A no-makeup look simply sealed the deal for us.
Mouni Roy has time and again declared herself a "saree girl forever" in many Instagram captions. Be it a glittery glamorous saree or a lightweight cotton number, the actress can nail it all with utmost perfection.
