Women in every field face challenges at every stage. Neha Dhupia is no stranger to those struggles. The mother of two has her own problems to face but she did it all with a smile.
In a recent video, she revealed her fears, the challenges of motherhood and how she balanced it all to overcome it. Neha Dhupia said to a contestant, “Main chaar saal iss show par nhi thi and uun chaar saaloin mein, main dusri baar maa bhi bani aur kahin merepe bhi bahut sarein self-doubts aye the. (I was not on this show for four years and in those four years, I became a mother for the second time and somewhere I also had a lot of self-doubts).”

The actress didn't let professional fears and other challenges related to her post-pregnancy phase affect her well-being. Explaining how she refused to be defined by those self-doubts, she said, “Kahipe doosri baar maa banne ke baad professional doubts, body image issues, bahut kuch aya hai. (After becoming a mother for the second time, there have been professional doubts, body image issues and a lot more.) But I was like - No, I'm going to be myself. Today, I have become the person I am. I stand for women who are in their 40s, who have given birth, who have children, who have gone through many different phases - whether it's depression, whether it's body image issues, all of that.”
“Kahi pe mujhe aisa lagta hai ki I stand for a certain genre of women. Aur aaj mujhe lagta hai ki woh jo batton hai who aap aur bhi aagey leke jayenge. You give hope to so many. (Sometimes, I feel that I stand for a certain genre of women. And today, I feel that those things will be taken forward by you. You give hope to so many.),” the actress said while complimenting the contestant, who was also a mother.
Neha Dhupia is the perfect example of how the world beyond societal pressures of being a woman and a mother is far more beautiful, if you're simply able to overcome your fears.
