Ram Kapoor's drastic weight loss has been the constant topic of discussion. When the actor returned to Instagram in December, many were left with many questions regarding his drastic physical transformation. Opinions on the use of ozempic and a possible surgery emerged. In a recent video, he shared how he took no shortcuts to achieve his new and improved self. In a candid conversation with Cyrus Broacha, he revealed all his secrets on how he lost 55 kilos in 18 months with incredible dedication.
He said, “I developed type 2 diabetes and all kinds of health issues — which I have solved now. I went with (the weight) for 15 years without inhibitions. But I realised that eventually, I would set a goal for myself. After 50, I will do the turnaround.”
According to Ram Kapoor, one should “never” follow a diet. Justifying his claim, the actor revealed that although he previously lost several pounds, his “diet was wrong” both times leading to eventual weight gain after quick weight loss.
So, how did Ram Kapoor shed 55 kilos? By changing his mindset. He explained, “I am only talking about my experience. I have been a morbid, obese, 140-kilo man for 20 years with all the health problems of the world. Twice, I lost 30 kilos and it came back both times. This time, what I have done to lose 55 kilos with a great level of health is that instead of dieting, I worked on my mindset. Any diet is temporary and requires willpower. When overall health and fitness are your concern, everything else falls into place. This doesn't require willpower but a mindset shift.”
As far as his food habits were concerned, Ram Kapoor admitted to having “only two meals a day”. He said, “One at about 10.30 am and another at 6.30 pm. Nothing in the middle. No snacking at all. I have water or coffee or tea. That's it.”
