If the Bachchans are the first family of Bollywood, then Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan would be seated at the head of the table. To celebrate their 48th wedding anniversary, Amitabh posted a photo on Instagram of their wedding day. In the caption he wrote "June 3 , 1973 .. thank you all for your greetings on our Anniversary" The photos see Jaya as a traditional bride in red and gold who looks radiant as ever with Amitabh by her side in an ivory toned sherwani. April 2021 marked 46 years of their film Chupke Chupke and Amitabh threw back to a snapshot from the movie with Jaya wearing a blue and purple ombre toned saree while he looked fantastic in an oversized kurta with fitted bottoms and tinted sunglasses.
For a shoot together in 2018, the two looked absolutely adorable with Jaya wearing a printed salwar and coral dupatta while Amitabh gleamed with a gold patterned sherwani accented with a burgundy stole and his signature thick frames.
It was delightful to see them elegantly experiment with their style game. While Jaya looked incredible in a cream saree with sequin embroidery, Amitabh stood out with printed pink kurta and white bottoms.
For Diwali 2018, the couple looked brighter than any fireworks possibly could as they matched in gold ensembles. Jaya wore a saree with a layered studded necklace and Amitabh chose a kurta pajama set.
Rewinding to Diwali from many years ago, Amitabh also took us back through time with a black and white photo of them lighting sparklers with large smiles and ethnic outfits.
