The much-awaited award ceremony in Hollywood - Oscars 2020 - kickstarted on a glamorous note as stars shone bright on the red carpet. From Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron to Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman and Renee Zellweger, at the 92nd Academy Awards it was a whole new line of statement gowns that were the highlight of the day. Black seemed to be the favourite colour for the occasion along with metallic hues and sparkling white. And there was, of course, the high slits and sparkly embellishments that added to the glitz. Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson, who is nominated for two films - Best Supporting Actress for Jojo Rabbit and Best Actress for Marriage Story - was a vision in a stunning metallic gown by Oscar de la Renta. She dazzled in a custom pewter gown with fringe bodice and satin skirt. "The intricately hand-draped corset and bias-cut represent over 300 hours of craftsmanship" wrote the fashion house on their Instagram post.
