It's safe to say that Padma Lakshmi is a jane of many trades and the master of most of them. From modelling on the runways of Paris and Milan in her 20s to supporting the cause of endometriosis, Padma has baked her own cake and eaten it too. She's gone from strength to strength with TV show judging roles and extremely successful cookbooks. Now, there's a new feather in her cap.

MAC cosmetics recently announced a capsule collection with the beautiful Padma Lashmi. Damn, the girl's on fire. The globally renowned brand is a favourite of makeup artists for its high quality formulas and wide variety of skin shades in a time when it wasn't as prevalent. No wonder celebrities flock to bag collaborations with the brand. In the past, the MAC has associated with a number of prestigious names like Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Ellie Goulding. Most names collaborate on MAC's Viva Glam line, proceeds of which go to the MAC Aids Fund.

Padma's line with the cosmetic major is however, a limited edition range that is curated by her and has been in the making for almost three years. Keeping in mind Padma's vibrant background in food, many of the products from the line not only look delicious but are also named accordingly. The packaging is a luxurious matte gold with designs and the name embossed in a shiny font.

In total, the collection includes six lipsticks and one lip gloss in pinks, oranges and nudes. Bonus: some of their names are mittai pink, nut fudge and sumac. There are three eyeliners and two of them are named Kerala Sun and Indian Ink. The two powder blushes are in peachy tones and two eye palettes are in blue toned frosty shades. Completing the well-equipped set is three makeup brushes to tie it all together. We're certain that a mix and match of these would make a great gift for any beauty lover.

Along with the representation of diversity that Padma Lakshmi brings with this venture, we're also thrilled with the shades on offer. Padma herself is a dusky skinned woman so it's a wonderful thing to see warm toned blushes and caramel lipsticks, that will suit almost all Indian women. Makeup addicts, your summer is set.
