Parineeti Chopra, Once Fat-Shamed, Is Now The Speedo Brand Ambassador

The woman who once laughed along with people making fat jokes about her has now come a long way and how. In very exciting and absolutely fitting news, actress Parineeti Chopra today announced that she is now the official brand ambassador for world's leading swimwear label, Speedo. What, what! In our opinion, Speedo, a leading swimwear and workout gear brand couldn't have found a better ambassador. Many of you might be wondering "Wait, what? Why?" Allow us to tell you that it is not for nothing. You might not know this but Parineeti is an out and out water baby. She is big on scuba diving and her Instagram doesn't hold back on her underwater adventures.

 

I think I am my happiest when I come out of a dive. I feel absolute calm and peace, yet my heart is thumping hard in my chest! Thankyouu @diveoceanus and @sunislandmv for this trip's dive experiences. So many whale sharks and manta rays .. how will I ever top this! Thanks Medu you were the best instructor. And of course my underwater angels Anees @scubanees and Shameen at @orcadiveclub. 5 YEARS AND COUNTING!!!!

Parineeti Chopra's is a heartwarming tale of dedication, steadfastness, and resolution. Once shamed for her weight - as compared to the celestial beings of Bollywood, we should specify - the Ishaqzaade actress is now among the fittest celebrities around. A couple of years ago, Parineeti dropped several kilos with workouts and better diet and showed off a toned new look. She detailed her before-after journey on Instagram, addressing 'Bollywood pressure' and how she feels more confident now.

 

BEFORE .. All my life, I have struggled with how I look, how I feel, and how people looked at me. I was constantly made fun of, but the person I was, I generously laughed with them. Today, many people ask me what triggered the weight loss, did I give in to the "bollywood pressure"? To that I say - thank god I became an actor and had that pressure! I am able to achieve what I couldn't achieve otherwise. I feel more confident, I feel at peace, and I feel proud! Girls and women meet me all around the world, at airports, events, on the street; they hold my hand, hug me, and tell me their struggles and how I changed their lives. They show me their wallpapers, their wallets, and its all pictures of me!! They look at those pictures and want to make that change in their own lives. They look at my Built That Way campaign and have stuck it to their walls. I have seen women tear up and tell me I changed their life. Post delivery weight, teenage obesity, they are fighting it, and I am their inspiration. As an actor, There is no bigger achievement for me. I am glad to be a part of your life in this way. So thank you everyone. Thank You for making me feel loved. Like I always say - if I could do it. So can you. And I am always there for all of you .... Lots of love....
