If you grew up in the early 2000s with plenty of VH1, you're sure to know Paris Hilton and her many (in)famous adventures. Whether she starred in her reality show The Simple Life with bestie Nicole Ritchie, released her heavily criticised debut single Stars Are Blind or showed us her limited range of acting skills in House Of Wax, Paris was one of the 2000s hottest trendsetters along with Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and sister Nicky Hilton.
With Kim Kardashian famously being her closet organiser, the Hilton heiress made sure every appearance of hers included plenty of velour, tulle and diamonds. So here's looking back at Paris Hilton's most fashionable moments through the years.
The fashion journey started early. A blonde-haired little Paris looked perfectly comfortable in front of the camera in a blue dress as her father, Richard Hilton,captured the moment.
As a fresh-faced 15-year-old, Paris attends one of her first black tie galas in a voluminous green satin gown and thickly rimmed eyes, a far cry from her current appearances.
Brimming with innocence, an 18-year-old Paris makes her debut at a debutante ball in a white gown and minimal jewellery, with her short hair pulled into a ponytail.
Soon after, Paris begun experimenting with her look. With a low slung pink mini skirt and mostly mesh top to twin with sister Nicky, these looks marked her crucial fashion years.
Although Kim Kardashian went on to become an even more popular reality TV mogul, Paris was the original. Seen here with Kim's momager Kris Jenner, Paris sports a set of smokey eyes, wispy blonde locks and ruffled blue dress that falls somewhere between figure skater and beach babe.
The early 2000s were prime time for Paris' most fashionable appearances, which marked her ascent to America's 'It Girl' status. In a fur-trimmed sheer negligee with a cocktail in one hand and pink studded cell phone in another, this summed up her personal style in a single look.
Could it get anymore iconic than this? We think not. Paris gives us a peek of her famous silver bias-cut dress with a matching sparkling necklace, tiara and jet black smokey eyes worn when she turned 21, and which Kendall Jenner famously took inspiration from for her own 21st.
Along with trying her hand at many careers, Paris also modelled and here, with a band of model friends, Paris wears an animal print suit, black bikini top, gold hoop earrings and plenty of frosted eyeshadow. Ah, the 2000s.
Now nothing could be more Paris Hilton than this look. In what you could barely call a top, Paris shows off her slim physique and navel ring with low waist denims, a glitter wristlet and braided hairstyle.
In what could be a peak 2000s moment, Paris posed with fellow It Girl Britney Spears wearing a flouncy burgundy dress, detailed necklace and her signature fluttery lashes with tousled waves.
Since then, many starlets and reality TV celebrities have gotten famous but never reached Paris Hilton's height of celebrity, which she maintains by forever making style statements. Here she opts for a black lip, cutout ebony dress and slicked back hair in a look that's completely unlike her own.
Being the Barbie loving stylista that she is, Paris couldn't miss out on a Mattel-themed co-ord set by Moschino, along with a hot pink crossbody and matching pooch in hand.
More recently, Paris has been spotted in a (gasp!) safari chic look that's so elegant, it's hardly even Hilton. She wears a beige midi dress with matching pumps and cat eye glasses.
Looks like our favourite It Girl really is growing up. Now we can't wait to take a look at that upcoming wedding dress.
