Before you drunk dial people, and stumble into your Ubers, remember these pointers

Party Up On Saturday & Deal With The Hangover With These Tips
It's Saturday, brace yourselves

Today is Saturday. It is that day of the week when more than half of us end up stumbling into our Ubers at the end of the night, maybe also throw up, and laugh on the streets like crazy people. I have huge plans to get drunk tonight, get a heavy hardcore buzz, and have a an epic night out. Why? Mostly because I haven't done that in a long time. But you know what else that means? That means the alcohol is going to hit me way sooner than usual.

That also means that it is possible that my entire day tomorrow is going to be spent in bed, with a headache...also known as a hangover.

But in all my years of drinking and merry-making, I have found there are easy things one should remember when drinking and ways to deal with that wretched hangover the next day. Here are some to set you up before you set out for a night of fun and frolic.

1. Eat well before you start drinking

Too basic to be mentioned, and yet not something that everyone remembers. I am not saying bulk up on food; we are talking a small meal, and then some light snacking when the drinks are on.

2. Hydrate

While you consume alcohol, AND after. Especially after.

3. Greasy foods with your choice of poison? Yes, yes.

People say that greasing up up insides (lol) with oil and fatty foods prevents the body longer to absorb the alcohol.

4. Know what your body can handle and how much

Know your poison and what brings out what reaction in your body. Not everyone is good with mixing drinks just as not everyone handles vodka well (okay maybe no one does). But more importantly know when to stop. Really.

The morning after...

5. Hydrate. Again.

First. And continually.

6. Bananas. Lemon. Ginger.

Your hangover best friends. Electrolytes regulate the acid-base balance and thsu help you get past the hangover.

7. But also, eat up

But remember it shouldn't be something heavy. Because, you don't want to feel bloated on top of everything else. eat things which are easy to digest.

8. Sleep it off

This is my favorite. Simple, and so good. Blissful almost. And between that sleeping, remember to rehydrate. You wake up so fresh the next day.

Fare well tonight child.
