Very few have been known to make editor-in-chief of US Vogue, Anna Wintour, crack a smile. On the last day of London Fashion Week, it was none other than Queen Elizabeth II who managed to make that happen. According to the Telegraph and Guardian, this was the monarch's first fashion show and she was given a cushioned seat on the prestigious front row, right next to the very fashionable Anna Wintour.

On the other side of Her Majesty was Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council. Seated next to Ms. Wintour was Angela Kelly, the Personal Assistant, Advisor and Curator to Her Majesty the Queen. The monarch's surprising arrival at the fashion show left the audience stunned. Both, Anna and the Queen seemed comfortably seated next to each other for Richard Quinn's fashion presentation and even seemed to share a joke.

The famed editor, who has earned the nickname 'Nuclear Wintour', was seen in her trademark dark sunglasses and pageboy bob with a floral dress, tan boots and a coat. Queen Elizabeth II looked spring-ready in a powder blue blazer and skirt suit with a brooch, pearl earrings and mauve toned lipstick. She paired this with black gloves, matching pumps and a handbag which was stylishly placed at the leg area, like an absolute F-Row pro.
Richard Quinn, for whose show the British monarch made an appearance, presented a marvelous show on the final day of London Fashion Week. The runway saw an abundance of floral prints, of which some were even paired together to create a dazzling print-mixed look. Along with that, there were pleats, silk layers and printed headscarves - a nod to the Queen's own style choices.

Post the show, Her Majesty presented Richard, who is known for his bold use of prints and headscarves, with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. The award has been designed by Angela Kelly and aims to award up-and-coming British fashion designers who display skill, creativity and sustainability.
