Radhika Apte, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nushrat Bharucha Model New Manish Malhotra Collection

Amazon Fashion Week is already old news because designer Manish Malhotra launched his Summer 2018 collection in a show hosted in Pune yesterday and, because he's Manish, he got a bunch of Bollywood stars to model the looks. The new summer range, like most of Manish Malhotra's recent collections, was a perfect blend of traditional and Indian and at the same time modern and global. The Manish Malhotra Summer 2018 Couture collection was presented to the world through an eloquent play of colours, fabrics and silhouettes. The collection is said to have been inspired by the natural beauty and flora of the Kashmir valley. Actresses Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Apte and Nushrat Bharucha walked the runway in Manish Malhotra's summer collection. The evening also saw actress and singer Sophie Choudry give a performance in a short Kashmiri thread work dress with a train from the collection itself.

As the models walked down the beautiful ramp created around a fountain, the pleated soft tulle gowns and flowy lehengas created in shades of light pink, powder blue and mint green seemed to come to life. But the highlight of the collection lay in the attention to detail that went into creating the 3D flowers sewn carefully onto the garments replete with traditional Kashmiri thread work. Sequined blouses and tops with high-collars and accents of light feathers and bursts of pearls added a sense of drama to the traditional outfits. If that wasn't enough, Manish Malhotra's summer range was made even more dreamy with luscious silk skirts paired with soft organza dupattas, flowy net sarees and cocktail gowns with beautiful drapes and exaggerated shoulders.
