Black sarees are the desi version of the quintessential black dress

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, starring Rani Mukerji in the lead, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 17. The movie, based on the real-life of Sagarika Bhattacharya, narrates the resilience and unending grit of a mother, whose children were taken away by the Norwegian Child Welfare Services. Rani Mukerji, who is set to make a strong comeback, is currently busy with the promotions of her film. Also, not to mention, dishing out some jaw-dropping fashion statements. Rani Mukerji showcased her ethnic fashion sensibilities in a gorgeous saree from House of Masaba. The number, which came with ‘Maa' written in white against a black backdrop, was an ode to her latest outing as Mrs Chatterjee. She teamed the drape with a full sleeve black blouse with long sheer sleeves and cut-out detailing at the back. Sticking to her elegant style, Rani picked a pair of silver oxidised jhumkas. For the glam, she wore muted tones with matte finish skin and enough contouring, dusky eyeshadow and sleek eyeliner along with glossy brown lips. A small black bindi worked as the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

The stunning white number, featuring a wide black border, was teamed with a custom woven cotton blouse with the paan-patti motif featuring gold dori work and delicate sequins. Diamond studs were the only accessory the actress wore. Her makeup palette remained the same - dusky and muted shades.

Rani Mukerji is definitely a sunflower in the world of roses. From another page of her promotion lookbook, she wore an off-white pantsuit and dropped cues to ace that boss lady look, effortlessly. Her printed coat came with a plunging neckline which gave a sneak peek of her off-white shirt. She teamed it with a pair of straight-fit pants. With her tresses tied neatly in a sleek pony, Rani Mukerji ditched the accessories and wore a handful of bracelets. Her glowy skin sealed the deal.
