TV host and Indian culinary personality Rashmi Uday Singh is renowned as a pioneer in the food space. This time, Rashmi is garnering attention for her heartfelt note dedicated to designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Recently, Rashmi took to social media to congratulate and praise the designer on his 25th brand anniversary.
Two years ago, Rashmi was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy. Her heartfelt caption stated how Sabyasachi helped her with his label's headgear and turbans to cover her head when she encountered hair loss during chemotherapy. In the post, we can see a video that showcases how Rashmi has worn different Sabyasachi turbans and headgear throughout her cancer battle, from one country to another.
She bared her heart in the caption, stating, “Admiration. Congratulations. On Sabyasachiofficial's 25th anniversary. No apt words to thank the thoughtful, caring, golden-hearted superstar genius, #Sabyasachi. Two years ago, when chemotherapy did its hair-gone magic, I sent a simple WhatsApp query to him asking if they had turbans in stock since there were none on display. Globally acclaimed, amid his super successful New York City opening, the charismatic and lovable Sabyasachi responds to my query about whether his Mumbai store stocks headgear by flying down from Kolkata for the Vogue show and bringing a wealth of bandanas and headscarves. Wowee!!”
She further revealed how Sabyasachi's headgear came to her rescue, and she wore it happily, whether she was in Paris or in Istanbul. Not only this, she also elaborated on how her doctor loved them too. "I can't get over this… #Sabysachirescue. It's for all seasons and all reasons!!! Wearing it happily…From pouting in Paris to chemotherapy in Istanbul to the best breakfast in Paris in Plaza Athenee, walking by the Bosphorus in FSBosphorous. Even my doctor, Dr. Galip Gurel, oncologist #DrSlocu, of Chemothermia, loves Sabyasachi's headgear. Just what the doctor ordered."
She continued and talked about how grateful she is for Sabyasachi for helping her out: "PS, who said chemotherapy doesn't have any blessings attached to it? It is a wonderful world!!! No apt words to thank you, superstar Sabyasachi. Keep flying higher. You've always been amazingly generous and caring, and I can't thank you enough; I can only send you blessings and miracles. Always."
While headgear and turbans are very underrated hair accessories, one may never know how helpful and life-changing they can be for someone, which Rashmi shed light on.
