We have to be honest, we love seeing couples twinning. We're all for personalised and unique styles, of course, but it's hard not to be amused when famous people twin with each other, whether by coincidence or design. Couples who do it, occasionally, not compulsively, never fail to bring a smile on our lips. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan know just how to walk the fine line between keeping it classy and looking like they left their individuality at the doorstep when they got married.
Last night, they were seen complementing each other sartorially at Soha Ali Khan's book launch. Both in bright cherry red, Kareena was seen in a sexy bodycon dress while Saif matched looked dapper in a nehru jacket of the same colour over a sharp white kurta pyjama. While both undoubtedly looked stunning, we couldn't help but feel that Kareena's choice of outfit was a tad OTT for the event. Her sequined Bibhu Mohapatra might just have upstaged sister-in-law Soha, with her casual denims, grey, black and yellow tunic and nude heels.
The entire Pataudi khandan showed up to support Soha at the launch of her debut book, The Perils Of Being Moderately Famous, in Mumbai. Kareena and Saif's twinning in red was unmissable and stole the show.
Misdirected limelight issues aside, it has to be said: Kareena's rapid transformation, post delivery, never fails to amaze us. And while we wish she'd picked a subtler, more understated number for the event, since she did show up like a siren, pushing the hair back or to the side would have accentuated that dangerous, but gorgeous neckline (double tape and pasties for the win!). The strappy sandals and dewy face were on point, though.
