Just in time for his debut show at the Paris Men's Fashion Week on June 20 as the new Creative Director of Louis Vuitton menswear, Pharrell Williams gives us a sneak peek into the collection by posing in front of a massive billboard in Paris with the campaign's brand-new face. Rihanna is the new face of the collection as seen on the billboard in front of Musee d'Orsay in Paris and perhaps that's what makes this campaign more iconic. Rihanna can be seen wearing a leather shirt buttoned just enough to reveal and for all to revel in her beautiful baby bump. She accessorised with chain necklaces and bright handbags with the brand's iconic monogram logo handbags held in both her arms. The leather shirt is in a pixelated version of the brand's famous Damier checks that also aligns with the brand's signature design language.

One seldom imagines a pregnant woman from the black community becoming the face of a menswear line of one of fashion's greatest legacy houses, but Pharrell Williams made it happen with Rihanna for Louis Vuitton Men. It is no surprise to see this collaboration strike a chord with the citizens of the internet with applause and appreciation pouring in well before his debut show. Famous black personalities of the entertainment world chimed in on the conversation.
Fellow black music artist Labrinth had this to say, "This is my favorite thing I've seen in a long time"
And supermodel Tyra Banks said, "Obsessed with this photo!" and we totally agree with both of them.
One user wrote, "Having a pregnant woman model a men's line is the next level we needed"
Another commented, "it's the pregnant woman starring in a men's luxury fashion campaign for me."
Support poured in many forms; like when a user expressed her feelings like this, "This baby already headlined the superbowl & is now starring in a Louis ad. Iconic." and where's the lie?

This is a huge moment in the face of fashion. Apart from it being a bold move to have firstly, a woman, secondly a pregnant woman, and thirdly, a pregnant woman of colour, as the face of a legendary fashion house's menswear line, Rihanna continues to broaden the spectrum of not just maternity fashion but also expand the horizons for gender-fluid style. One user summed it up perfectly in the comments, "IT GIRL. With child or without. Breaking barriers and setting the standard. Her status as a fashion icon is solidified FOREVER."
Pharrell Williams is dressed to finesse for his stylish pose in front of the billboard. He wore a black leather jacket layered over a white tee, matched with a black pair of leather flared trousers and fluorescent pair of sunnies to complement his blonde buzzcut.
While this may be Pharrell's first campaign for Louis Vuitton, it isn't his first professional collaboration with the singer. In 2017, the duo came together for N.E.R.D's comeback single, 'Lemon'. In 2020, Rihanna revealed that she was working with Pharrell on her ninth album, R9.
One user had just two words to say about the campaign, but two were more than enough. She wrote, "A movement." and a movement it sure is.
