Sarees takeover the festive season

Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 celebrations at Ambanis were all about the glitz and glamour. No, not just because of all the A-listers in attendance. But because of the carousel of fashion statements brought forth by the celebs on the festive night. While ethnic pick turned out to be the go-to choice of our favourite icons, saree honestly led the fashion brigade at the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. From Gen Z stars to Bollywood OGs, Tuesday night honestly celebrated the six yards. Beginning with the timeless beauty, Rekha, whose signature style statement is saree. The veteran actress opted for a plum-hued drape with gleaming golden borders. The thread tassels on the border of the pallu were another highlight after the golden work. Heavy duty jewellery set with similar colour mang tikka and bangles locked the ethnic look for her.

After bringing our favourite chiffon sarees back in trend, Bollywood's Rani was yet again seen spreading the saree magic in Antilia. Alia Bhatt wore a coral saree with tasselled borders. Coming from the shelves of Arpita Mehta, the actress paired it with an embellished strappy blouse. Side-parted open tresses and dewy makeup with coral lips looked perfect on her.

Kiara Advani looked breathtaking in Jayanti Reddy's lemon green saree. The silk saree came with scalloped detailed embellished borders. Its heavy-duty sleeveless blouse made it red carpet-ready. Finishing off her ethnic look, she tied her hair in a middle-parted sleek bun and wrapped it with gajra.

Ananya Panday has set our festive mood board on the right note. The actress wore Arpita Mehta's shimmery saree in fiery red. She teamed it with a full-sleeved blouse with mirror detailing on the end. While she created a contrast through her green kundan choker set, loosened silky hair complemented her well.

Janhvi Kapoor draped a beige silk saree on a heavily embellished blouse with half sleeves. She left her side-parted hair open and carried statement danglers.

Bollywood's “Dhak-dhak girl”, Madhuri Dixit looked stunning in her dark green saree with golden embellishments. She teamed the six yards with a green velvet blouse and a golden embellished potli bag.

Raveena Tandon picked a beige hued Banarasi Saree. The full full-sleeved blouse added sophistication and the green necklace carried the contrast.

Shanaya Kapoor chose a pristine white net saree, from the shelves of Manish Malhotra. She wore it with an embellished blouse and a pearl necklace. A sleek middle-parted bun was the final touch.

Navya Naveli Nanda chose a red Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla saree with minimal jewellery. Just a bindi was sufficient to make her look as ethereal as ever.
